Enhanced security
Thanks to the action against the recent terrorist suspects we've had "enhanced security" at work all week. As far as I've been able to tell, outside of this helpful sign the only indication of enhanced security is the new guard who stands outside reading the newspaper. (Oops! Please don't blow us up.)
Yes, one of the targets in the terrorists' plans is a few blocks up the street. But at the same time an extra person out front isn't going to do a damn thing if someone is determined enough.

We have advanced security in my building, too. In our case, it includes not allowing trucks to pull up to the building and checking all large parcels that are brought into the building. I expect it's the same sort of thing where you are. (You can test it out. Bring a large unmarked box to work ... perhaps one that emits a faint ticking noise. lol)

Hmm... On Friday I recall seeing someone with a large monitor box being talked to at the security desk. I guess they are checking some stuff.
